Matroyshka/babushka help
A while back I decided on a theme for baby's room: the main colour will be turquoise and I want to add matroyshka/babushka elements.
From Tiel.
So far I collected some illustrations that I want to frame and I'm building up a small stash of turquoise fabrics for the quilt and other decorations.
What I would really like, however, is to buy some matroyshka-fabric as well (I already have the Heather Ross print, but that's the wrong colour unfortunately) and I'm hoping that you guys can help me out a little.

Do you know of any links to the fabric I'm looking for? As I said the main colour of the quilt will be turquoise, but any kind of blue, or red, will do. Do you know any good (bonafide) and preferably affordable online fabric stores? I only ever once twice bought from Reprodepot, which I was very happy about.
I hope you've got some helpful tips for me!
By the way, while surfing the net I came across this fabulous site. I'm now trying to determine which set(s) I'm going to buy.
Ack, have a look at this blog... such lovely things on there!
And this fabric is just the best!

Does anyone know where it comes from?

What a fun theme for a nursery! Sorry, I can't help you with the fabrics. One thought though is that the doll on the card would be really cute turned into an applique of some sort -- maybe big in the center of a pillow or baby quilt?

Superbuzzy used to have some russian dolls fabrics, but I have never seen turquoise. What would you like to make of the fabric?

Op de zwarte markt in Beverwijk? Veel Poolse mensen met babushka spullen.

You know I might just be designing some fabrics this year...but no promises yet on what the design will be or when and your child might be 18 by the time it is finished.
try this for inspiration..

Hi, Love your colour scheme! I couldn.t get the photo at the bottom to view, for some reason. I bought a wallet from Lucy Locket with red and cream matroyshkas on, so you could ask her where she got the fabric from if you like it. here is a link to the wallet :http://www.etsy.com/view_transaction.php?transaction_id=6219580 (hope that works!!)

Hmm, I don't have any fabric or ideas about where to buy good stuff, but I sure hope you'll find a way to use the old pyjamas! It's blue, even though without matryushka's... I think that's an awesome theme for a baby's room, so good luck with finishing everything.

I've been wanting to get the blank baboesjkas for Mirthe (so she can paint them herself) for so long now, I'm thinking I'll order them for her Easter basket. At www.babushka-nl.com, under Speelgoed.
And www.madeliefke.nl has the cutest crocheted matroesjkas (and flowers, and buttons, and and and...)!

Hallo Mirre,
