Good things

Another weekend came and went, which means that lots and lots of decorating has been done. Just ONE more week before my self-imposed deadline and then the house will have to be finished!! Will we make it in time?! Stay tuned ;)

Bb3

Anyway, this has made me so happy. We finally started painting the nursery and I think the colours turned out wonderful! My Mum turned up with the curtains yesterday and they look great too (tick of the list). She's now frantically sewing away at the cot, which will be finished on Sunday... go Mum, go!

Bb4

We also managed to buy a new secondhand but perfect Maxi Cosi, which is a great relief to me, because I was freaking out that we wouldn't be able to transport the baby if I needed to go to hospital (another tick of the list).

Bb2

We're also truly enjoying our new dining table and chairs. The table is so big and light... we love it!

Bb1

And, it's perfect for folding the washing! Especially baby clothes... look at me go (washing baby clothes... another tick of the list)!

So, I'm 36 weeks and I think I'm finally starting to unwind. I've been feeling very stressed lately, because we were still so unprepared. However, I'm at last starting to see light at the end of the tunnel. I can now start to look around and enjoy all the progress we made instead of only focusing on all the jobs that still need doing. A very nice change!

Physically, I'm feeling pretty well too and I'm actually feeling less pain than a couple of weeks ago. Getting out of bed is a challenge though, but once I get going things are alright. I'm actually really surprised that this pregnancy I'm in better shape than with Simon, even though I'm much heavier. I have no complaints!

The baby isn't moving around so much any more (since there's no more room), but when he does the kicks are very powerful. It sometimes makes me jump up from my chair. This baby also has the hiccups a lot! Five times a day is normal! I'm really looking forward to meeting this new little person that's been keeping us all busy for 8 months now... just a few more weeks!

You've been so industrious! I hope you are feeling well prepared for the new arrival. I'm a few weeks behind you (31 weeks) and feel very overwhelmed with things that haven't been done!

glad your to-do list is getting shorter, mirre! that's awesome.

i remember my babies getting hiccups a lot, too - especially my first - it feels so funny!

I'm glad that you've started to feel ready for the baby's arrival! I am sure that you will get a few weeks to enjoy the house being more or less organised before the birth! My friend had her first baby at 520am on Saturday - 3.8kg - ouch! But all well and he is really cute!!

Good for you Mirre! You have done some beautiful things and I just love that dining room table and chairs. Congrats all the way around!

I'm so glad things are coming together for you and you're starting to wind down. Even the photos in this post seem lighter!

ack! so close!

you know, i never could tell if my boys hiccuped in there. i think it takes super human strength to realize that.

Can´t wait to see the little one! Love that table, similar to mine. On one half we eat...on the other half there´s homework, crafting or other stuff getting done.

i'm in love with your new dining table and chairs! it's beautiful. all the best for these last few weeks- it sounds as though you've been really busy. baby-nesting!

You've accomplished much! I like the table and the hints of your color choices for the baby's room looks fun. And of course, the table. Lovely. Our tables are all light wood too. (Gotta love IKEA) Thanks for commenting on my blog - yes, I have been busy but it's a good kind of busy with the purses and such but sometimes it is to the detriment of other things like household chores and schooling!

The two of you deserves a pat on the shoulders! Well done! Now can you please go put your feet up!

Wow, I love your table. And it is great to read that you are relaxing and don't stress over the things to be done.

36 weeks already, time flies! The nursery colours look great! Time to relax! Remember that the baby is no final deadline, you WILL have time to do some decorating with a baby in the house too :)

I'm so excited for you. I always loved the final weeks of anticipation before a baby was born. When will it come? What will it look like? Good luck!!

go go go!!!! yeehaw!

glad you're feeling better. That final energy/nesting boost!

mine all had en utero hiccups....

Just checked in to see if bubba had arrived. Not LONG to go now...oh how exciting for you all!
Take care, I will be thinking of you :)

Oh it looks like you are doing great on finishing up that list :) Exciting!

Pleased you have started to unwind a little and things are coming together. I really love your table and chairs, just what I could do with...will have to look out for something here in the UK. Take Care xox

Sit down put your feet up and relax!!!

Great table! Wow, just a few more weeks.... how exciting!

How exciting and it's great concerning your paint..can't wait to see the whole room :) Sounds like your nest is coing along very good.. Your place seems SO NEAT and everything in place!! Thanks for the nice comment on my blog I was trying to find your email to respond...
Anyway, enjoy these last days..they seem forever, but as you know go so quick, too!

Just checking in...seeing if your new one has made the debut.

What progress you've made!! Love the paint in the nursery, and what a wonderful table. I hate laundry, but I love washing and folding baby clothes. Can't wait to hear about the little ones arrival.
