The girls have arrived! Yes, we finally have our chickens! We went to pick them up on Friday and they have settled well now in their new place.
And having chickens is so much fun already... thankfully it is exactly what we imagined. The children love them and Simon especially seems to be a natural with them.
They are about 16-18 weeks old now, so still quite young. However, we may find the first egg in the upcoming weeks... so exciting!
We had our first escape on the first night already. We have a naughty chicken on our hands! Her adventure ended well and we all tucked them in for the night.
I keep going outside just to look at them and that's exactly what I'm going to do now :)
I was sitting here after dinner on my couch and screamed outloud, "Those are beautiful chickens!!!" My son mumbled-weirdo..THEN I shown him...THEN he understood! ahhhh, I've missed reading my fav. blogs, so I'm going to go and enjoy all your posts :)
