Admittedly, these photos were taken (in our garden) two weeks ago, but I was amazed how many flowers were still in bloom then. We've had such a mild autumn up until recently. Now, however, autumn has well and truly arrived, bringing the first frost and lots of mist.
There were too many knots in my stomach. There was too much headache, too much stress, too many adult responsibilities.
However... there was also: a little sewing, a bit of sun, some good food, opportunity to take a few photos and some quiet time with Linus.
So let's pretend that I don't have to work tomorrow. And let's pretend that I do not have to spend the day deprived of daylight on what may possibly the last (and only) day of summer. I'm going to have a large glass of wine and watch some silly tv with my husband and just relax!
More snow fell and the country came to a standstill. The Christmas party that I was supposed to go to tonight was cancelled, as were many other things. The Dutch are simply not used to these kind of weather conditions.
We spent this Sunday at home, only venturing out to make a snowman.
Our tree has been up since yesterday... days before Christmas :)
