You know that when it's warm and beautiful outside you almost feel guilty for spending time inside behind the sewing machine? You really should be outside basking in the sun, but your one-armed girlfriend is desperate for some quality time? What else can you do at such a time than make tissueholders?!
Today I made them of oilcloth! They feel lovely and sturdy and so... functional :))
I've been thinking of selling my tissueholders at Queensday, which might be a good way to get rid of some. On Queensday (april 30th) the whole country turns into a fleamarket... so much fun. Here you can see some photos of last year. This year we will attempt to sell the tons of stuff that we keep in the attic... I might as well bring my tissueholders along, right?!
What do you craft when the weather is too good to stay inside?!

Thanks so much for your comments on my last post! It's good to know that I'm not the only one that suffers from diminished brain activity ;))
I didn't know about Queensday so I learned something. Your tissue holders are wonderful. I know exactly what you mean about wonderful weather vs. the studio. I've started selling my creatures at our local farmers market and need to keep sewing to keep my inventory up. But the outside is calling! The sun is staying up late and flowers want to be planted. I try to write a list of things I want to create each week so that I can leave time for the outdoor stuff.

Tissue holders out of oilcloth. What a great idea!
(And congrats to your daughter for staying dry. One of our boys who is 6 has the same problem.)

BEAUTIFUL!! That black and white fabric is to drool for.
And as for what to do when the weather is fantastic? I go outside and take my knitting and ipod with me!

I love the oil cloth tissue holders but how do you sew with oil cloth? Whenever I try it sticks to the footplate. As for going outside and crafting - I usually just take out a pile of craft books and magazines to flick through. Nothing too taxing!
