The other day I bought these gorgeous pieces of oilcloth. They go so well together, I just love looking at them.
Usually I'm not much of a shopper, but lately I've been in need of a little retail therapy. Things haven't been all good in our family. We've all been ill, but Michel rules us all. He was taken to hospital in November with what turned out appendicitis. Unfortunately things didn't get better after that. He's still suffering from a lot of pain and until now doctors haven't been able to find what is wrong with him. It's a very unpleasant situation, for Michel, but also for the rest of us. It feels as if our lives are on hold, we're just surviving as well as possible. For me it means that there is hardly any sewing or blogging time left. To be honest I'm just proud that the children are all fed and decently clothed.
I know that things could be worse and that it will all get better (I hope really soon). In the mean time I'll just sit and stare at my new fabric :)
I hope that things get better for you very very soon! Yes you should be proud that your children are well fed and clothed..:-)
I hope you will be back to your cloths and blogs very soon.

I'm so sorry to hear this - sounds like times are a bit tough! Everybody here has been ill too, and it has been lasting for a few months, but nothing really serious this far. I hope you will all be off the hook soon!

I hope, together with everyone else, that all will be back to normal as soon as possible. In the meantime, hang in there and good on you that you still manage to run the household!
Thinking of all of you.

Oooh Mirre! I am sorry to hear about the hospitalization. That is too bad. I hope things are back on track soon!
What will you do with this oil cloth? I have some in my stash and I'm trying to decide how to proceed.

I'm so sorry for you and your family. We'll pray for a quicker recovery and hope that Michel is feeling better before you know it. Taking care of your children and husband is far more important than staying up on blogging (although I know the pull and desire to do so can be great - it's a highlight of my week as I'm sure it is for you - a good, creative outlet.) So, we'll be here when you return, when you are able.

Hoi Mirre,
Vervelend om te horen. Ik hoop dat alles binnenkort weer wat beter gaat.
In de tussentijd wens ik je veel sterkte en toch een paar fijne momenten op een dag.
Groetjes, Ria
