We're experiencing the first seriously cold days here in The Netherlands. Before the kids went off to school I had to dig for gloves and scarves, because we hadn't really used them yet.
Although I'm not so much a fan of the cold, I do love this bright, clear and dry weather. A bit of sun does a body good, and a mind as well!
I cycled into town yesterday, with Linus in his front seat, like we always do. (How I love cycling with my baby so close to me). However, on the way back from the supermarket he was munching on a slice of freshly bought bread -as is our tradition. Therefore, he couldn't wear his mittens and by the time we arrived home his little fingers were so very cold and hurt awfully (yes, bad mum). The poor little guy didn't know what hit him and it took quite a few cuddles and kisses to make him stop crying.
After he settled I went into the garden to quickly take some photos of the wintery goodness. Photos that I would love to upload right now, but for some reason Typepad doesn't allow me (bad Typepad) and quite frankly I'm too tired to put up a fight.
All in all... cold is good. As long as there is sun. And as long as you are wearing your mittens!
