It turned out that my handsome boy needed glasses. He's been wearing them for a few weeks now and he has been great handling the new situation.
I was a little worried when I found out he needed glasses, but when I saw how well they suited it him I was relieved. I'm so proud of my little man (who thinks he's actually very big!).
Last week we attended a church service that was organised by the school.
As a non-churchgoer and general atheist it was quite the experience for me. I'm thinking that out of interest I may go again sometime to have a proper idea of what's going on during a service.

Our sweet Amber Julia turned 9 years old a few weeks ago.
The typical birthday ingredients were all there:
a pretty dress (I didn't make it myself and I didn't beat myself up over it)
a cake made by dad
presents
a party with friends
and crafting
I feel so fortunate to see my girl, my firstborn, blossom into such a beautiful little lady. I treasure those nine wonderful years with her and hopefully there are many, many, many more to come!
