A simple item of clothing today. Another redesigned jumper. This time for Amber.
I actually quite liked to wear this H&M jumper, but that pink colour... it just doesn't suit me. So I took it to sewing class with me and even though my teacher was a bity doubtful at first, she let me go at it with the serger. Aaaah, that serger! I dream of owning my own. I know... where to put another machine?? And those babies are pretty expensive, but man! the opportunities it opens up!
I used one of Amber's sweaters as a template and then just took in the sides and underarm sleeves with the serger. I didn't change anything about the length, because my little girl is becoming rather tall and a warm bum is nice for winter ;)
Really, that was all it took... it doesn't get any quicker than that. To add a little touch I crocheted a flower for embellishment. That bit of crochet took me longer than the jumper itself!
Amber is happy and a better model than her brother.
aaaaDORABLE! both pretty young lady and little addition to a beautiful sweater! (all your kids are just adorable) I can't believe how much older Linus looks...didn't you just have him ---yesterday??? ;)
